From Media Buy to Publisher-Ready Email
The placement is booked, the send date is coming, and the publisher needs the creative.
Tell us where the campaign is running, what you’re promoting, when the creative is due, and what you already have. We’ll sort out what still needs to be written, designed, built, and prepared for the publisher before production starts.
01 _ Tell Us What You Bought
01 _ Tell Us What You Bought
We start with the placement itself.
Who’s sending the email? What did they call the placement? When is the creative due? When is the campaign scheduled to run?
If the publication, newsletter, association, or media company gave you specifications, a media kit, submission instructions, or an email explaining what they need, send that too.
Every publisher handles email advertising a little differently, so we want to know their requirements before we start building.
02 _ Send Us What You Have
- Your website or landing page
- Logo and brand guidelines
- Product or service photos
- Existing ads
- Brochures or sales materials
- Draft copy
- Final copy
- Offer details
- Campaign notes
- Publisher specifications
Give us what you’ve got. We’ll take it from there.
03 _ We Figure Out What the Email Needs to Say
Before we start designing, we make sure the message makes sense.
What are you actually promoting? Why should this audience care? What’s the strongest reason to click? Where are we sending people, and what do we want them to do when they get there?
We review your offer, audience, landing page, and existing marketing materials, then decide what deserves the most attention in the email.
That keeps us from designing first and figuring out the message later.
04 _ We Write, Design, and Build It
Once the direction is clear, we build the campaign.
Depending on what you need, that can include:
- Email copywriting
- Headlines
- Subject lines
- Preheaders
- Email design and layout
- Calls to action
- Campaign imagery
- Destination links
- Responsive HTML
- Plain-text content
- Publisher-specific creative assets
We’re not dropping your logo and copy into the same template we use for everybody else.
The email is built around your brand, your offer, and the requirements of the placement you purchased.
05 _ You Review It
Before the publisher sees the campaign, you do.
You review the copy, design, offer, imagery, links, calls to action, and anything else that matters to the final email.
Send us your feedback, we make the agreed revisions, and we get the campaign ready for final approval.
It’s much easier to fix a headline or move a call to action now than after the publisher has already put the campaign into production.
06 _ We Get Everything Ready for the Publisher
Once you approve the campaign, we prepare the files your publishing partner actually asked for.
Depending on their requirements, that may include:
- Approved email copy
- Subject line and preheader
- Campaign images
- Destination URLs
- Responsive HTML
- Plain-text content
- Publisher-specific files
- Organized final campaign assets
The publisher then handles its normal review and sends the campaign to its audience.
You bought it. We build it. They send it.
Want to See What Happens After They Send It?
Campaign Data powered by QSL2 can be added before the finished HTML is handed off. The publisher still sends the campaign normally; you get access to available real-time clicks, conversions, forwards, and other campaign activity through your QSL2 dashboard.
What If I Don’t Know What the Publisher Needs?
Send us what they sent you.
Some publishers want complete responsive HTML. Others want copy, images, links, and subject-line information that they’ll load into their own template.
Forward the publisher’s requirements to us. We’ll sort out what they actually need before production starts.
We’ll review the specifications and build around the placement you actually bought.
What If Part of the Campaign Is Already Done?
That’s completely fine.
Approved copy but no design? We can start there. Design finished but no responsive HTML? We can handle production. If almost everything is ready, we can review the publisher requirements and organize the final files. If you’re starting with only an offer and a deadline, we can take on more.
We start where your existing resources stop.
THE PLACEMENT IS ALREADY BOUGHT.
Let’s Get the Email Across the Finish Line.
Send us the placement, the deadline, the publisher requirements, and whatever campaign information you already have.
We’ll help turn those pieces into the finished creative your publishing partner needs.
